The Tracheostomy Cannula with cuff is indicated in tracheostomized patients to allow the maintenance of respiratory function, with adequate management of the airway, in relation to hydration, aspiration of secretions and endoscopic maneuvers for diagnosis or treatment.

The cuff seals the tracheal lumen, allowing adequate control of gas movement during mechanical ventilation and preventing the passage of fluids and secretions from the upper airway into the bronchial tree.
