The Nephrostomy Set with Pigtail Catheter is indicated when a nephrostomy is performed, which consists of communicating the urinary excretory tract with the outside, at the level of the renal cavities, when there is an alteration or interruption of the trans-ureteral urinary flow. The application of the nephrostomy catheter allows:
– decompress an obstructed system and maintain or improve kidney function impaired by
ureteral obstruction,
– obtain access to the renal pelvis for radiological procedures.
